Step 1) Open your Start menu and select Run. Type in the word inetwiz then click the OK button.
Step 2) This opens the Welcome to the Network Connection Wizard window, select the I want to set up my Internet Connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area Network (LAN) option then click the Next button to continue.
Step 3) Select the I connect through a phone line and a modem option and click the Next button to continue.
Step 4) Type in the Area code and the local access michusa.com number. Select United States for the Country/region name and code. Make sure that the Use area code and dialing rules box is checked then click the Next button to continue.
Step 5) Type in your michusa.com username in the User name: field. Type in your password in the Password box. Please be careful when you type in your Username and Password because they are case sensitive. In other words if you type in USERNAME (all capitals) instead of username (all smalls) michusa.com will not recognize you. The same thing applies for the password. Type in your Username and Password exactly as you chose them when you joined. The password you type in shows up as a series of stars to keep it private. Click the Next button to continue.
Step 6) Type in michusa.com as the Connection name: then click the Next button to continue.
Step 7) Select the Yes option to setup your internet mail account and click the Next button to continue.
Step 8) If you do not have an internet mail account select the Create a new Internet mail account option. If you already have an internet mail account you can select the bottom option and point to where the account is on your computer. Click the Next button.
Step 9) Type in the name that you want others to see when you send them email in the Display Name field and then click the Next button to continue.
Step 10) Type your email address in the E-mail address: field then click on the Next button.
Step 11) Make sure the POP3 appears in the top field (My incoming mail server is a POP3 server). Type mail.michusa.com in the Incoming mail server field. Type smtp.michusa.com for the outgoing mail server name then click on the Next button.
Step 12) In the Internet Mail Logon window type in your michusa.com email address in the Account Name field. Type in your password in the Password field. If the password box is greyed out then put a check in the Remember Password checkbox. Please check that the username you type in is not in the wrong capitalization because usernames and passwords are case sensitive. The password you type in shows up as a series or stars to keep it private. If you want to type in a password every time you check your email then leave the Remember Password box unchecked. Click the Next button to continue.
Step 13) Your setup is complete! Put a check in the box next to To connect to the Internet immediately, select this box and then click "Finish" button. If you don't want to connect to the Internet immediately then leave the box unchecked and click the "Finish" button. Your PC should now be all ready to connect to the Internet. To get online just double click onto the Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop to surf the Web. To check your email just double click onto the Outlook Express icon on the desktop.
